Orc Barbarian

These are a couple of screenshots of my final project in Modeling I of an Orc Barbarian type character model. I spent a lot of time on him, as he is my first ZBrush project ever. A lot of time was spent on getting more familiar with the software and with how to shape the character and the best way to go about the workflow, which will take MUCH much more time for me to get better at, as it takes practice and experience. For what I lack in experience, I tried to make for by spending extra time. I still need to retopologize, UV, and paint him. Wish me luck

Dungeon Level UDK

This is a run-through of my final project for Level Design I. I wanted to make a dungeon themed level and I decided that I would make it a little scary. I put a lot of detail into the environment because I really wanted it to feel alive, like you really were a part of it. I always love it when you are able to immerse yourself within a level as you play it.
I learned a lot during this project about dynamic meshes (forgot that I needed these a lot >.<), about particle affects, and especially about ambient sound effects and taking advantage of the Cue Editor as well as recording and making my own sounds.
On that note, assets that are found in the level that I made on my own, include the monster, made out of particle effects and flash animation (Scaleform), the chains in the torture room, and all the sound effects, which I obtained from Freesound.org (amazing website) thank you for those who contribute to their extensive database. I actually recorded the Key Pickup sound effect in front of my computer with my own set of car keys though.
PS: I apologize for the bad video quality
